> IMPORTANT WARINGS TO COVER THE GUARANTEE
- Keep a label, barcode and production batch.
- The room where you are going to install our vinyl flooring must permanently maintain a temperature of between 12 and 25 ℃.
- In the case of installing over a radiant heating system, the floor temperature must not exceed 28℃.
- Avoid exposure to direct sunlight: the direct incidence of the sun rays may contribute to an abnormal dilation of the floor and for the adhesive glue to become liquid and filter through the joints.
- Humid areas: excess humidity or vapour will never damage the PVC plate’s structure; however, it may alter the composition of the self-adhesive glue, causing gluing deficiencies in some areas.
- In all cases, the use floors primer is mandatory.
- If you install vinyl from different batches, bare in mind that they could have colour and shine differences. Always check that the boxes have the same production batch number. No claims will be accepted due to change of colour or shine once the product has been installed.
Preparing The Supports
1. Installation on parquet and laminate floors
Whenever the floor is parquet or laminate and does not have bevels, it can be installed. If we are sure that the laminate floor has been treated with WAXES, we must previously apply a product to remove it as much as possible. If it has bevels or head joints of more than 1mm deep, we recommend covering them with a paste for WOOD. Sand down if necessary and apply a layer of floors primer, this will be sufficient to be able to install the vinyl tiles or planks. We do not recommend installing on floating floors with brusque movements, as the vibrations of the wood may detach the vinyl tiles.
2. Installation on cement-based floors
Whenever the floor is cement-based, it’s mandatory applying at least two layers of floors primer, this will be sufficient to be able to install the planks or vinyl tiles.
3. Installation on smooth ceramic base without bevels
Whenever the floor is smooth pore-free ceramic base, we have to check if it has a decorative bevel or head joint of more than 1mm deep. If so,we recommend covering the joints with an indoor ceramic covering type material. Sand down if necessary and apply a layer of floors primer, this will be sufficient to be able to install the vinyl tiles or planks.
4. Installation on a textured ceramic base or with relief and bevel
Whenever the floor is ceramic base with texture or relief, we recommend applying an indoor leveling paste (fast or slow drying) to totally cover imperfections. Once dry, we must apply two layers of floors primer, this will be sufficient to be able to install the vinyl tiles or planks.
5. Installation on terrazzo-base, marble
Whenever the floor is a TERRAZZO base (although the terrazzo does not have a relief) or MARBLE we recommend previously removing the wax it may have, as this type of floor will have been treated with wax when installed. The wax and adhesive of the vinyl tiles are practically incompatible and, therefore if you do not remove the wax or apply two layers of floors primer, several vinyl tiles or planks will surely become detached.
